How the price fire works
The first fresh quote becomes your comparison anchor. The vertical axis shows a small range of actual USD prices, with the latest quote marked by a dotted guide. A higher quote raises the target flame height; a lower one lowers it. Choose a wider or closer window, or reset your anchor. The scale recentres when a quote approaches an edge, and both limits remain visible. The line is the exact quote; flame tips flicker artistically around the smoothed height and are not exact measurement points.
How often does the Bitcoin price update?
The flame responds only to fresh source observations. The visible movement is smoothed; no random price changes are generated between observations. Decorative turbulence continues even when the quote is unchanged. A delayed source freezes the last valid target and labels its observation time. Reset anchor creates a new local comparison point, not a new market observation.
Why the fire moves smoothly
The USD axis magnifies a local window around the first fresh quote. A dotted horizontal guide gives the exact current quote; the flame smoothly follows its height, with decorative turbulence around it. Axis zoom changes the visible range, and the window recentres near an edge. It is not a zero-based chart. The historical chart below provides the longer view. On the main page, fictional-note burns add temporary heat and real new blocks trigger a separate flare; neither is market demand or a price prediction.
Price is only one signal
Public market activity creates restrained sparks. It does not change the Ember counter and it is not presented as trading volume analysis. A newly detected Bitcoin block triggers a separate short celebration.
