A Bitcoin campfire.
Tools with visible assumptions.
BTC Campfire is an independently maintained browser project combining an interactive Bitcoin fire with public-data tools, maps and educational research. It is not an exchange, wallet, investment adviser or official Bitcoin service.
Who maintains the project?
BTC Campfire is maintained by the project’s creator under the BTC Campfire name. Questions, source corrections and permission requests can be sent through the Contact button on the homepage. The site does not claim an institutional research team, professional financial accreditation or provider endorsement.
How we use data
Every analytical tool should identify the actual provider, observation period, units and coverage. Market snapshots can differ from the live trade stream. Reachable nodes are not users; address balances are not people; merchant listings are not transactions; correlations are not trading forecasts. Missing values are not converted into zeroes.
- Price and blocks: Kraken, mempool.space and Blockstream, as identified in each view.
- Nodes: BTC Nodes crawler snapshots. Payment places: BTC Map and OpenStreetMap contributors, with source attribution and licence.
- Funding and open interest: the Hyperliquid BTC perpetual contract, not an all-exchange aggregate.
- Attention: human-classified English Wikipedia Bitcoin page views from Wikimedia, not Google search volume or sentiment.
- M2: named major-economy baskets using official monetary and matching FX sources, not complete worldwide money supply. The default chart includes the US, euro area, Canada, Japan and China; the Thesis Lab retains its original three-component basket.
Definitions, source links, date limits and exclusions belong beside each tool. Start with the tools directory, M2 methodology or map methodology.
Freshness and corrections
Observation time and retrieval time are different. Sources can lag, revise history or become unavailable. When possible the site retains dated valid data and labels delays; a saved snapshot is not described as live. Editorial review dates do not guarantee that an external policy or business is unchanged today.
To report a problem, include the page URL, displayed source date, affected number or statement, and an authoritative correction source. Use the homepage Contact button. We review reports before changing data or explanations; we do not promise a response time. Shared interactive links use the latest checked data unless explicitly labelled as fixed snapshots.
Funding and independence
The site offers optional Bitcoin tips. A tip does not purchase a forecast, guaranteed support or a financial return. Fictional-note burns and saved-browser Ember counts are interface activities, not verified unique people, market demand or Bitcoin transactions. No wallet connection or private key is needed to use the tools.
Any future paid placement should be clearly identified as advertising or sponsorship, with paid links marked appropriately. No sponsor or media partnership is claimed on this page.
Using and citing BTC Campfire
When sharing a chart, include its URL, selected settings, observation dates, provider and limitations. For a reproducible teaching example, see country-located versus all reachable nodes. Data retains its original provider’s licence; this project does not grant new rights to third-party data. The press and OBS kit contains actual interface images and presentation instructions.
