Where the live rate comes from
BTC Campfire uses Kraken’s public BTC/USD ticker, with Coinbase spot data as a fallback when the primary feed is unavailable. The source and last received UTC time appear beside the calculator. If both feeds are unavailable, the tool waits for a valid quote rather than inventing one.
Why your wallet may show a different number
This is an indicative spot conversion, not an executable quote. Exchange spreads, fees, timing and rounding can make an actual trade or payment differ. The calculator is for orientation, not investment advice.
